Steelers Shoot Down the Jets - No Excuses, Just Big Mistakes - New Revelation in Rex Ryan Conspiracy

Yesterday was a sad day for New York Jets fans. As the game progressed in the first half it had seemed as if the Jets lost their magic touch. I knew things weren't going to be good. I am sure fans lost hope in their team, and the Jets lost hope in themselves. I remained hopeful, and waited to see what the Jets would do differently in the second half. And to the surprise of many, the New York Jets we all know and love were back. Though it appears they were a little too late to take the game back. I have to give the Jets credit for fighting until the very end, an uphill battle the entire way. It could have been the greatest comeback of the season. But mistakes were made, and time ran out. The Jets lost it at the very end, and their spot in the Super-bowl slipped through their fingers. Lets hope for better things next year, and that the Steelers win the Super bowl.

The Jets could have potentially won the game up until the last first down completion made by the Steelers in the fourth quarter.  The Jets had good momentum on offense, and their defense had completely shut down the Steelers on the previous possession.  I knew they were getting the safety, but I think the touch down would have put them in a better position, giving them enough time to tie the game.  If the Jets could have stopped the Steelers from gaining that last first down, I think they would have won it.  That would have given them around one minute and thirty seconds to get the ball down the field to score.  But in the end mistakes were made that could not be rectified.

I truly hope the Steelers win the championship.  And I know most Jets' fans probably want the Steelers to get blown out, but I think that is the wrong attitude.  I would rather say that the only team we lost to in the playoffs was the championship team, than losing to second place team.  The Jets proved a lot of people wrong this year.  I doubt many imagined that they would make it as far as they did.  The Jets made mistakes, and the Steelers played a great game.  There are no excuses for the Jets' loss, the Steelers were the better team on Sunday night.  So I hope Big Ben, that son of a bitch, will get another ring this year.  And hopefully the Jets can get some rings next season.

Which leads me to my next topic, Rex Ryan.  I could read Ryan's lips on television as the Steelers made that final completion.  Rex Ryan ripped his headset off and threw it on the ground and said, "F$@#%#%&^$%$@#k."  It was at that moment I knew it was all over.

My only complaint with the game, which is not aimed just at this game but the sport in general is how a team is able to waste two entire minutes of game time without putting the ball in play.  I mean if you think about it there is no other sport like that.  In basketball you can hold the ball, but it must be in play, meaning potentially the other team can get it back.  Soccer has running time, but again the ball is almost always in play.  Baseball there is no time, which is why baseball is retarded.  I can't stand how many times I see a team kneel 20 times at the end of the game to waste the clock.  If its done so often why even make them do all the kneeling.  Just say if you get the ball with under two minutes left when you are up, its an automatic win.  It really takes a lot of fun out of the game.  I think they should change the way that works, but I'm sure that will never happen.

So where do we go from here?  Like most Jets fan out there I am thinking we will win next season.  But thats expected, any fan of any team will say that.  What then makes the Jets different?  Rex Ryan.  In my previous posts I have alluded to the concept that the Rex Ryan conspiracy could have been a two year plan.  The Jets' upset from last season, would set them up as the underdogs going into the next.  It had never occurred to me up until now that Ryan's plan might have a longer timeline.  Think about it, two year as head coach, but no  Super bowl.  Last year no one took the Jets seriously, but they made it to the playoffs.  This year, they were one game away from the Super bowl.  The Jets have become such a miracle story that it is hard not to like them.  The way things are looking right now is that the Jets are like the little engine that could, and are on track to being the underdogs of the decade.

They have proved to the world that they are one of the best teams out there.  They have the skills and the spirit it takes to succeed, but it is as if there is some higher power involved that keeps preventing them from going all the way.  If you are thinking that I am saying God is trying to stop Rex Ryan, that is exactly what I am saying.  Its not that God doesn't like the Jets, he has chosen them to show the world that when you have faith you will succeed in your endeavor.

I think many people lost hope, during the last game.  I almost did, and as I sat next to my brother I could see in his eyes that he had.  I knew once people stopped believing it would be over.  What you have to understand is that it is easier for a fan to believe in a team, than for the team to believe in themselves.  As fans we are disconnected, having absolutely no direct impact on the game.  How hard is it for you to believe in your team?  Its not like you have to practice harder or sleep more, or change any aspect of your life.  When you are a player it is different.  You have to train, you have to want to be better.  You have to be prepared for what lies ahead, and then you can say you believe in yourself.  When your fans don't believe in you, how can you believe in yourself?  So what I am saying to all of you fans out there is to believe 100% of the time, no matter what team you root for.  I am not saying you have to ignorantly believe that your team will win every game.  You can think that your team will lose, but as long as you believe that they can always win then you are doing your part.

My prediction of next season for the Jets, Super bowl or Super bowl.  I believe Ryan is using either a three or five year timeline.  So the Jets will either win in 2012 or 2014.  Now that I'm thinking about it they might win in 2013, because 13 is my favorite number and that would make sense.  Rex has made the Jets into the team that never gives up.  The Jets are actually the only team to make it to the championship round in both 2009 and 2010.  And I don't think they are going to give up until they have won at least one championship under Rex Ryan.  Next time I will be writing about the Jets will be around a year from now.  Until then, get ready to believe, because next year the Jets will go all the way.  God Bless America, God Bless John G, and God Bless the New York Jets.
