And the Jets are Back! 22-17

After an unsurprising loss from the NY Giants, which cut into the beginning of the Jets game, the Jets returned to the field in hopes of turning around their losing streak.  Lets not get me started on how bad the Giants are.  I mean they just lost the most embarrassing way possible.  Anyway, thankfully the Jets represented New York by beating the Steelers in an extremely close match.

Unfortunately the Jets had the crowd against them, and the Steelers had home team advantage.  However, the Jets started off strong having a 7 to 0 lead against the Steelers early on.  It was only a matter of time before the Jets defense started to lose their enthusiasm and began to allow the Steelers into the end zone.  Surprisingly their were almost no turnovers during the game for either team.  Not before long the score was tied at 10 to 10.  The ball went back and forth until both sides ended up with 17 points.  Lets not forget to mention Mark Sanchez's amazing QB sneak for a touchdown.  That's Jets football at its finest.  The Jets then add three with a field goal to put them in the lead with 20 points.

Afterwards the Jets were able to push back the Steelers and force them to punt.  The Jets then returned the favor with an amazing punt leaving the Steelers at the 2 yard line.  It was there that the biggest play of the game occurred.  The Jets were able to sneak one player in on the blitz and sack the Steelers for another 2 points which put them at 22.  With the clock running low on time in the fourth quarter, and the Jets receiving the ball it seemed as if victory was certain.

However, the Steelers put up a good fight.  Again forcing the Jets to punt the ball.  I thought they should have went for the fourth down.  But apparently nobody does that in the NFL.  Anyway, the Jets again kicked a great punt pushing the Steelers back near their own end zone.  With around two minutes remaining the Steelers showed an admirable display of offense converting third downs to firsts all the way up the field.  Big Ben, aka the guy who allegedly raped people, made a great running play.  Time after time, while facing massive pressure the Steelers were able plow down the field. Unfortunately for them time was running out.

The last two plays of the game were the most nerve-wracking for Jets fans.  The Steelers were 10 yards away from the end zone with just enough time on the clock for one play.  A touchdown would give the Steelers an automatic win over the Jets, and the time for this play was unlimited.  Thankfully the pass by Big Ben to the receivers was missed.  And I say thankfully because the receiver was in the end zone.  Unfortunately at the end of that play the clock had not run out with 2 seconds remaining.  Which gave the Steelers one more chance to take the game back.  Once again the legendary Jets defense was able to stop the Steelers' offense and end their own losing streak with a 22 to 17 victory.

For those of you concerned that this win might affect the Jets status as underdog be not afraid.  This win still allows the Jets to be a wildcard.  And obviously Rex Ryan made sure it was a close game so that many people out there will think they won by luck.  We could possibly see a loss again next week, however, it will most likely be another close game again like this one.  Like I said before, the Jets are the ultimate underdog team.  And Rex Ryan will make sure that if they make it to the playoffs they will be the underdog.  God Bless America, God Bless John G, and God Bless the New York Jets.
